New Release--Romantic Suspense--The Real Thing

This book has been in the making for a LONG time--five or six years. I love the characters in this book and, sometimes, it takes an author longer to get to know characters...this is the case with THE REAL THING. They would start to do crazy stuff and I would think 'they can't do that' or 'that doesn't fit.' But--sometimes you just have to let them go! I would find myself getting out of bed to get a scene written so the characters would just shut up!:)

And now--at least for awhile--I can sleep.  Purchase it HERE!

Alexa Fulbright doesn’t expect the man she’s been trying to forget for the past 7 years to show up on assignment from the FBI…and she really doesn’t expect him to kiss her.

Sam Dubois doesn’t want to be on this assignment, even though he requested it. He doesn’t want to see Alexa and he definitely doesn’t want to put away the thug she calls her boyfriend…but most things in life aren’t fair when it comes to her.
After Sam shows Alexa proof that her boyfriend is a drug dealer with connections to the Columbian cartel, she refuses to believe it. Until a gun is pointed at her head and ‘said boyfriend’ puts a bullet in Sam’s shoulder.

Now Sam has to get her out of dodge and Alexa has to make a choice—face the past or live a lie that could destroy her and everyone she’s ever loved.

Blog Hop!

I've been tagged in a blog hop from Lucy McConnell...she is a fabulous writer and we have just co-authored part of a Christmas Boxed Set together --Christmas in SnowValley.

I love blog hops! It gives everyone a chance to meet other authors. Lucy's latest book Undercover Engagement had me on the edge of my seat!

Onto the questions--
1-What are you working on?
I wish so badly that I was one of those authors that could force myself to only work on one book at a time. Ugh! I try to discipline myself and finish books...but, as of right now, I'm working on a couple. There is a romantic suspense that will be out the end of this month called, THE REAL THING. No, I don't have a cover for you, either. Working on that as well. But--the short hook would be that it has a hot, ex boyfriend that's an FBI guy and he comes to help save Alexa from her very hot, current boyfriend--who happens to be part of the Columbian drug cartel. Lots of twists and tension and --suspense!

I'm also working on book 2 in the Hidden Falls Trilogy. This book focuses on Star's love story--and it has Beau and Richard in it--both vying for her attention.--Sigh. It's good romance. Really good! You'll have to read it to see what happens:)

2-How does your work differ from other works in this genre?
Hmm...that's a tough one. Honestly, I don't know. I love this genre and I try to make sure I'm heavy on the character development. I try to make sure that I have created towns that people fall in love with and want to come back to. I know, for myself, part of the fun of reading different author's books comes from seeing what is similar and what is different in the setting and the characters.

3-Why do you write what you write?
Because I love romance. I love thinking about that first kiss. That moment when the other person is the only one in the whole world that you care about. That moment when you realize that love has all power over another human being. That part that feels intoxicating. Yes, it's addicting. That's why I write it!

4-What's your writing process?
This is a simple question to answer...I outline, then I write, then I re-outline, then I write some more. Yes, sometimes it's quite a process. And, stop the presses, sometimes I don't outline at all. No! Say it ain't so!:)--yes, yes, sometimes I get that crazy.

More than anything I think the important part of the writing process is simply doing it. Putting words on the page everyday.

Who are we visiting next?  The fabulous...Jo Ann Schneider--author of New Sight and Babes in Spyland--she is stealth--like a Ninja...in fact, she is an actual black belt! Fighting is her game and she writes really amazing fight scenes! Check her out here.

Christmas in Snow Valley and The Christmas Eve Kiss

Soo Excited to Announce the project that has been distracting me from piles of laundry and keeping me in front of my computer--Christmas in Snow Valley!

Christmas in Snow Valley is packed with six wonderful Christmas novellas sure to bring romance into your holiday season.

Snow Valley, Montana, is a small community with the tradition of doing Christmas big. Festivities begin with tree lighting in the town square the day after Thanksgiving and continue until the culminating romantic Christmas Ball. From the Polar Express to a Winter Carnival, there’s something for every wonder-filled child—and every couple who’s in love—or about to be.

The release will be Nov. 3 for the whole boxed set. Get it for Pre-order HERE!

I've really fallen in love with the characters in my book!--I know it sounds silly--but it happens:)

The Christmas Eve Kiss.  It's available now!  Purchase it HERE!

Molly O’Hare gets the utterly ridiculous prediction that she will kiss her true love on Christmas Eve. But when she returns to Snow Valley and comes face to face with Kevin Snow, suddenly the kiss thing seems…a lot less ridiculous. Too bad the reason she left still has the power to make her deny her real feelings. Now Molly is left with a choice—forget the home town and the boy that she never quit loving or let Christmas work out a miracle all on its own.
